Seminar: Some Aspects of Host Immunity that may Impact the Aerosol Transmission of Respiratory Viruses

We are pleased to announce the upcoming seminar titled “Some Aspects of Host Immunity that may Impact the Aerosol Transmission of Respiratory Viruses” to be held on April 23, 2025 (Wednesday). This event will be jointly organised by the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (D²4H) and the School of Public Health of The University of Hong Kong (HKU).
Dr Julian Tang, Honorary Associate Professor/Consultant Virologist, Respiratory Sciences at University of Leicester, United Kingdom, will discuss variability in immune responses, strategies for managing respiratory infections (such as vaccination, masking, and distancing), and insights from early cases. The seminar will also explore key questions surrounding immunity, reinfection, and controlling virus transmission.
