Croucher Summer Course “Vaccinology for Public Health and Clinical Practice in the 21st Century”
The Croucher Summer Course “Vaccinology for Public Health and Clinical Practice in the 21st century” will be held at The University of Hong Kong on July 24-28, 2023. This Croucher Summer Course is designed to provide graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other early-stage scientists an overview of the basic concepts in vaccinology.
Participants will learn about the immunological and epidemiological principles of vaccination, vaccine development, how to measure vaccine efficacy or effectiveness, and how vaccination influences disease transmission and herd immunity. We will also discuss basic health economic evaluation of vaccination and vaccine hesitancy. The course will be taught in English.
