We are delighted to announce that another invention developed by the InnoHK Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (InnoHK D²4H), namely Sphygmio, has been honoured with one of the top accolades – the Gold Medal with Jury Congratulations – at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.

Developed by our Lead Scientist Professor Joshua Ho and his PhD student Nicholas Kwok, Sphygmio is an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered blood pressure monitoring tool that uses advanced algorithms to measure multiple vital signs—including heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), heart sounds, and blood pressure—using only a mobile device. This cost-effective and portable solution eliminates barriers to emergency monitoring and can be easily integrated into any telemedicine platform.
