Press Briefing: Hong Kong’s first medical research based on real-world data through big data analytics confirmed the effectiveness of vaccines against Omicron BA.2

On February 28, 2023, we collaborated with HKUMed, and hosted a press briefing titled ‘Hong Kong’s first medical research on the effectiveness of COVID-19 Vaccines against Omicron using real-world data’. At the event, Professor Ian Wong, Lead Scientist, and his research team concluded the event with the five key messages to the public.

We had a successful participation at InnoEx 2023, with a great number of enthusiastic visitors and media representatives who showed strong interest in our company and were keen to learn about Vitogram, our latest AI-enabled digital health innovation for telemedicine.

Dr Leesa Lin, Research Director, spoke to the Hong Kong Economic Journal earlier this year about how AI and data analytics could help address vaccine hesitancy, which is one of the top 10 global health threats identified by the WHO. Find out how these tools can help healthcare specialists, vaccine scientists, and governments effectively address vaccine hesitancy in the long run in Dr Lin’s interview.

	Dr Eric Wan was featured in a RTHK programme – Hong Kong Story (Programme 4)

Dr Eric Wan, Co-Principal Investigator, was featured in a RTHK programme titled, ‘香港故事創科夢工場: 數據中「尋寶」: 尹旭輝’ which was aired on February 20, 2023. He shared his passion for numbers and how it helped kickstart his career in big data and medical statistics. The segment also highlighted the importance of big data analytics during the COVID-19 pandemic over the past three years.


	Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen visited the D²4H office

On March 9, 2023, Mr Wang Jin Xia, Deputy Director General of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen, led a delegation to visit the D²4H office. Professor Joseph Wu, Managing Director and his team shared the company's mission and R&D achievements, while Mr Wang presented the Authority's plans for knowledge exchange and cross-border collaboration.
